The gardens at Chippenham Park are only open on selected dates throughout the year, so please make sure you check before visiting, but if you are lucky enough to be staying at Gravel Farm on one of these dates, the gardens are well worth a visit.
Dogs are welcome in the gardens on leads and there are toilets onsite.
Chippenham Park dates back to the late 17th century. The garden was designed in the Anglo-Dutch style (a northern version of the Early Baroque) for a friend and official of King William III.
The gardens have been awarded the highest two-star rating by the Good Gardens Guide and are notable for their vast swathes of snowdrops and aconites in late winter followed by a superb spring show of daffodils, hellebores, spring bulbs and blossoms.
